I cannot recommend South Coast Guitar Tuition highly enough; if like me you love guitar and want to strum a few chords, the first port of call, as it is for most things now, is Youtube. Ok, now ask your self this: if you needed the services of a Lawyer, Accountant, Mechanic, Doctor or Dentist would you use anybody who was not qualified, no proven track record or not recommended? If the answer is,’Yes’, then good luck.

As for me, in my youthful 60s, I choose a professional who can ‘Do’ as well as teach. He keeps me on track, playing and learning this wonderful instrument; above all, I am enjoying and having fun on the journey.

Jim is a fantastic teacher, knowledgeable and patient. He can teach different types of guitar at different levels, and different ages from my 13 year old daughter to a 50 year old rocker!

"I'm a beginner on the acoustic guitar and I found that books and YouTube are pretty poor substitutes for proper one-to-one tutoring. Finding a good tutor is not easy, but Jim is excellent. He is so enthusiastic, friendly and encouraging. Jim starts off by getting you to learn to play music first with some well-known tunes before adding some of the theory; it's a more fun way to learn. Jim was able to pick up weaknesses in my playing style and technique quickly and has improved on both these very quickly. I can't believe I'm playing to the standard I am already. I have much more confidence now and I'm working toward performing my first tune before an audience. Really enjoying the lessons. Well worth the money my dad pays :-) Thanks Jim"

Jim is brilliant in teaching my son Logan, his online/ Skype lessons took Logan from a complete beginner, to discovering a love acoustic guitar, especially Spanish guitar,  Logan so enjoys his lessons, he is having fun and learning at the same time - what could be better!
